Vehicle Donation Requirements
To donate a vehicle, you must:
- Be the legal owner or have authorization to donate the vehicle
- Provide a clear title or appropriate documentation
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate information about the vehicle
Title Transfer
You are responsible for properly signing over the vehicle title. We recommend removing your license plates and notifying the DMV of the transfer.
Tax Deductions
We provide tax documentation as required by law. However, we are not tax advisors. Consult with a qualified tax professional regarding your specific situation and deduction eligibility.
Towing and Pickup
We provide free towing from locations within our service area. You or an authorized representative must be present at pickup to sign documentation and provide keys.
Vehicle Condition
We accept vehicles in any condition, but you must accurately represent the vehicle's condition when scheduling donation. Major undisclosed issues may affect pickup.
Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Understanding Your Car Donation Agreement
When you donate your vehicle to Car Donation Raleigh NC, you're entering into an agreement that benefits both you and the charitable organizations we support. These terms ensure transparency and protect all parties involved in the donation process.
Your Responsibilities as a Donor
As a vehicle donor in the Triangle area, you agree to provide accurate information about your vehicle's condition, ownership status, and location. This includes disclosing any known mechanical issues, ensuring the title is clear and transferable, and being available for vehicle pickup or designating an authorized representative.
Our Commitment to You
We commit to providing free towing from anywhere in our service area, handling all necessary paperwork, maximizing your tax deduction, and ensuring your vehicle donation supports qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. We process all donations promptly and provide tax documentation within the timeframe required by law.
Vehicle Pickup Policies
Our free towing service covers the entire Triangle area including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and surrounding communities. You must be present or have an authorized representative available during pickup with the signed title and keys. Same-day and next-day pickup are available when scheduling permits.
Tax Deduction Guidelines
We provide IRS Form 1098-C for vehicles that sell for more than $500. For vehicles selling at $500 or below, we provide documentation of the sale. While we maximize the sale value of all donated vehicles, we recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding your specific deduction eligibility and claiming process.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from vehicle donations will be resolved in accordance with North Carolina law.
